We had a lovely two-night stay at Eastcombe Barn in Castle Combe. The location was excellent, and the property had everything we needed.
The kitchen was particularly well equipped for self-catering, with great-quality appliances and a good-sized fridge. We also appreciated the thoughtful essentials provided, including sugar, salt and pepper. These small touches are incredibly useful when you are staying away from home.
A great place to stay, and we would happily return.
The only negative was that we stayed during the particularly hot summer of 2026, and the property would have benefited from an air-conditioning unit.

Good communication with owner. Easy checkin process. Accommodation as expected. Nice quite location a short walk from the village with two pubs. Many lovely villages close by to visit. A few big supermarkets 15mins drive away. Nice farm deli shop a short drive away and we visited when the fish van was on site so that was a nice extra. Well equipped for self catering which is nice. Views across the fields and wildlife to watch. Secure parking. Hot tub was ready for use which isn't always the case at other accommodations. Would return and would recommend to others.
Given the heatwave it was extremely hot, they did have 2 fans to use and we had one ourselves but aircon would have been perfect.
The property gets sun all day so a small shaded area to sit to eat alfresco would be great.
Some comfortable outside furniture would improve the patio as it's so nice and quite with nice views but you couldn't sit for long on the small wooden chairs.
Whilst it didn't bother us in the slightest you can hear the cars on the race circuit and I imagine it would be a lot on big race event weekends if you were planning on staying in all day. We actually went and had a look at a few on the track one day
Bed was on the small size for us.
Looks like a lot we didn't like, that's not the case just some ideas to improve people's enjoyment. It's a beautiful barn in a beautiful area and we enjoyed our stay very much.
