Nestled just 200 feet from the pristine shores of South Lake Leelanau, this charming 3-bedroom, 1-bath cottage is the perfect retreat for families or groups of friends. Whether you seek relaxation on the lake or adventure in the stunning Leelanau County or Grand Traverse region, this cottage offers the best of both worlds.
Family-Friendly Resort
Step outside to enjoy over 400 feet of private lakefront, a sandy beach, a marina with individual boat slip (boat slip is seasonal), and plenty of space for water activities like kayaking, jet skiing, or swimming. Spend your days lounging by the water, building sandcastles, or playing lawn games. In the evening, enjoy a bonfire and make memories around one of three shared fire pits with breathtaking sunset views.
In addition to the private beach and marina, West Wind Resort offers a playground, basketball court, and expansive green space. The shallow shoreline is ideal for young children, and beach toys and lawn games are provided for added fun.
Please note: you must cross the resort's private driveway to get to the lake and beach area.

Inside, the 1,200+ sq. ft. cottage offers a cozy living room with a gas fireplace and a futon for extra sleeping space. With three bedrooms (1 king, 2 queen beds), high-speed WiFi, and a smart TV for streaming, you’ll have everything you need for both comfort and fun.

Went up to fish Lake Leelanau for a few days. Cottage was perfect for our stay, easy access, boat launch just down the road, dock on property so we didn’t need to launch the boat every day. We had breakfast on lunch at the cottage and ate supper at local restaurants within a 15 minute drive. Beautiful area.

We had a wonderful stay over Memorial Day weekend. Plenty of room at the dining table for our group to play games in the evening. Enjoyed short walks to the nearby township park to view beautiful Lake Leelanau. The kitchen was well stocked with items needed for preparing and serving meals. The location was perfect for outings to Traverse City and Sutton’s Bay. The host was very responsive to questions before and during the stay. Highly recommend this property.

Very clean and well stocked with everything you need, from cooking to enjoying the outdoors. The Beds and Pillows are so COMFORTABLE!! They provide you with alot of information that they have put together to make your stay convenient and enjoyable, from important information regarding the house to places to go and visit and of course some of their favorite spots they to go when in town. I would definitely stay here again if I come back.
