The view was nice, as presented.
- Carrying luggage and groceries up 4 flights of stairs was especially bad. If you are not fit and strong or have ANY mobility issues beware!!
- Our bedside lamp was covered in black mould, which was reported to the owner immediately due to the health risk. She told us to put it outside the unit and that it would be replaced the next day. It wasn't. She did not contact us again about this and it was still outside by the time we left.
- Water pressure low.
- The trees bordering the unit gave off a rotten smell and were full of little flies.
It just seemed that this owner was very hands off on her property.
Before we came to this unit we just paid the exact same amount for an absolutely unforgettable 5 star unit overlooking the Knysna heads and lagoon, modern, big smart TV with a ton of content, and a fabulous breakfast included in the price.
In our opinion there are much better and more accessible places available at this price point, which in hindsight seemed excessive for what was on offer, basically a Wendy house up a bunch of stairs.
Hosts need to know that you need to exceed expectations and actually put in effort to ensure satisfied clientele in today's market.
