Santa Claus District family home

After booking our host contacted us to suggest we set up a WhatsApp group for communication. Prior to us arriving he shared tips and advice and sent us photographs which helped us plan and build our excitement for the trip. When we asked for a taxi company recommend he said he would pick us up from the airport and later take us grocery shopping. He and his wife couldn’t have been more accommodating and helpful. The house and surroundings is beautiful. We used the Kota every evening, and the sled slide every day. The walk to SCV was very nice, mainly through the forest. It was lovely to have this as our sanctuary to come back to, after the craziness of SCV. We cannot recommend this property and the hosts enough. Absolutely outstanding.

Nothing it was perfect!

We had a really lovely stay at this house during our trip to Rovaniemi. The property was exactly what we were hoping for cosy, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful winter scenery. It truly felt like a home away from home. The location was perfect for visiting Santa Claus Village, exploring the surrounding area, the airport and Rovaniemi Centre, while still offering a quiet, tranquil atmosphere to relax in the evenings. The house itself was always warm, comfortable, and well equipped with absolutely everything we needed for our stay. Kimmo and Minna were fantastic hosts and very welcoming, helpful, and easy to communicate with. They showed us around, gave clear instructions on arrival and were available if we needed anything, which made the whole experience feel very smooth and reassuring. We especially loved the peaceful setting and the chance to enjoy the sauna really added to the authentic Lapland experience. We were genuinely sad to leave and would absolutely return again in the future. I honestly couldn’t say anything negative about our stay. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

The house is exceptionally clean, tidy, modern and well equipped. It’s also very comfortable, peaceful and relaxing, at the end of a cul de sac. We stayed in February, so we had the added bonus of a sledding slope and sledges in the garden, which all of us loved, due to the heavy snowfall and -12 to -20 degrees centigrade temperatures. It’s perfectly situated for Santa Claus village, 5 minutes drive, or a 15 min walk through the woods . 10 minutes drive to the airport. The owner took time out to greet us, and show us how everything worked, and made sure we felt at home. Always at hand if needed. A 5 star host. 😃 We would definitely stay again
