Nice place but keep these things in mind

The apartment is nice with a good amount of space for 4 people and reasonable price. There is a pleasant balcony where you can enjoy breakfast. There are screen doors which is great so you can have the windows open without bugs getting in. The host allowed us to check in early which we appreciated a lot.

The apartment isn't very private. When you walk in there is an entryway that also has a door to the host's place. To get to the rental apartment you walk up a set of stairs and there is no door to the rental space, just a curtain. We were told we had the whole space to ourselves, but someone did come in through the entryway. We had only 1 set of keys for 4 people and one night one person wanted to go back to the apartment earlier so she took the keys so she could get in and left the door unlocked for the rest of us since we had no other keys. While she was inside, someone came in and locked the door. That meant that when the rest of us arrived one hour later we were locked out and we had to call our friend who was asleep and wake her up to let us in. Luckily she heard her phone and woke up and came to let us in. If her phone had been on silent, I'm not sure what we would have done. Another night at midnight we heard the host open the door to our entryway and play a very loud phone conversation on speaker or maybe a tv show. So we had the feeling that we were lacking a bit in privacy while staying here and we weren't sure if someone might come in. Also, check the location before coming here. It's a fairly long downhill walk to the lake and the town which means you need to walk home uphill, but it's ok if you plan to drive. It was around 35 minute walk uphill on some dark streets to get back to the flat from Gmunden. Or if you walk the other direction to a beach area, then to get home to the flat it's around 25 minutes walk up steeper roads, some of which don't have lights or sidewalks. We could have driven but wanted the option to have some wine with dinner. There are taxi options in the town but not that easy to find. We were also missing a basic coffee machine; it would've been very nice to enjoy coffee on the balcony.

Loved Gmunden and comfortable place to stay

Comfortable, location great as we had a car, lovely living area, useful fridge and kitchen area in the living room.

Saubere Wohnung in ruhiger Lage

Eine sehr zuvorkommende Dame hat uns freundlich begrüßt, die Wohnung war sehr sauber, die ruhige Siedlungslage am Hügel haben wir sehr geschätzt. Für das Frühstück war alles Notwendige an Utensilien in der Küchenzeile vorhanden, die Kaffeemaschine hatten wir selbst mitgebracht. Der See ist in wenigen Autominuten erreichbar, ebenso wie viele andere Ausflugsziele rund um den See. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeberfamilie. Auch für unsere Fahrräder wurde schnell eine Unterstellmöglichkeit gefunden.
