Such a great location. Beautiful apartment.

Nearby the city center, a nice bar about 5 min walk away

The location couldn't have been more perfect - smack in the middle of the center district, steps away from everything worth doing in Riga. The apartment is very spacious, even larger than photos would have you believe. You also have windows facing both ways - the street and the inner courtyard, which helps create a nice breeze on a hot day (of which there aren't many in Riga).

The old building and the staircase leading to the 5th floor apartment are in awful shape: there is a distinct smell of dampness, and the paint is peeling everywhere. The apartment itself is in fine shape, no issues there. With one caveat: the kitchen is woefully underequipped in a few areas. For us, there was literally one pretty small kitchen knife to cook with (why?), no coffee machine other than an oversized French press, and an antique-looking kettle that weighed like 3kg on its own and definitely presented a health hazard. You couldn't pick it up with your bare hands hot off the stove and it was spewing boiling-hot water. Note to host: for the love of God, buy an electric kettle and get rid of that hideous thing before someone burns himself!

Riga, is a nice place, quiet, the apartment was exceptional for 4 people, location was great, going to the historic center plus the walking tour, Riga give you some relaxing
