House itself, location and staff

The home itself along with the decoration was unique. Plus, the staff were truly polite.

This dirty dark path to reach the property was not by best, especially during evening. I did not feel comfortable walking in this area alone, even though I am quite aware that Bali is super safe and Balinese people are the kindest. But…

We’re a family traveling with two young children (ages 2 and 7), and we spent four wonderful nights at this beautiful Balinese home. Elegantly designed in a relaxed Balinese style, it was the perfect place for our family! The house is conveniently located near the town center yet peacefully tucked away from the crowds and noise. Evenings here felt magical with the background music of cicadas and unfamiliar birds wove a gentle symphony that invited us to unwind. Mornings were slow and joyful in watching lovely ducks and ducklings paddling in the rice field behind the house, small moments like these helped us slow down and savor the present. Although we booked a stay without breakfast, the hosts welcomed us with one morning complimentary breakfast with pool access at their nearby property, The Rice Joglo. A highlight for the kids was meeting five‑day‑old baby goats at this spot. They cuddled the littlest one, who couldn’t yet stand; after gentle care and comforting hugs, he lifted his head and pushed with his front legs though still tired but clearly comforted. That quiet sweet moment is a family memory we’ll always carry. During our stay, a small mishap happened for our two‑year‑old broke a plate. This incident was handled with calm and kindness by the host Kristine. Her perspective reminded us that connection and comfort matter far more than perfection, and it put our minds completely at ease. 🙏🏻 We loved the sunset views from the balcony and the convenient location. A wide variety of restaurants, cafés, shops, mini marts, and temples with Kecak performances are all just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the neighborhood. My older one likes the Sweet Orange Walk Trail to spot ducks in the rice fields and kittens. Thank you Kristine for you and your team’s thoughtful hospitality and creating warm, memorable experiences. We left feeling calm, grateful, and very fortunate. 🙏🏻🥰💖💕

Although it’s down a hill from the main road, the staff kindly helped carry our luggage during both check-in and check-out, which we really appreciated.

I really enjoyed my stay. The host was amazing—very helpful and always available for everything. The house it self has very good welcoming vibe. The location was also excellent, within very walkable distance to central Ubud and even close to the rice fields. I truly loved everything about the stay, and I hope I will come again.
