Casa Del Mar

The house is so neat!. Lots of different spaces to explore. We visited on a very wet rainy weekend and could sit out on the cover deck comfortably. The house is very comfortable and would love to come back in Summer to make the most of the lawn and other deck / verandah spaces. The houses location is just a hop skip and and jump to Oneroa (shops, restaurants, beautiful beaches) Surfdale and Onetangi. There are tons of books and board games to keep everyone entertained. There are 2 bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs and then take the hidden staircase to a completely private 3rd bedroom which is fully self contained. Great for having extended family stay when the kids wake up early and they want some privacy! There’s an outdoor fire place on the deck and another inside which helps take the chill off.

If I could suggest one thing it would be to offer guests spare blankets. The house has a fire place and each room has a heater but it would have been lovely to have an extra blanket on the bed or to suggest guests bring their own.

It was quirky and charming. It had lovely views and the beds were very comfortable.

Being an old house it was cold, however the heaters did the trick. It would be particularly great to stay here in summer.
