Disappointing stay
The location was near to the centre. The host said he could give 1 of our cars a permit pass. There was free parking further up the street as we arrived Saturday evening to Sunday.
There weren't enough duvets for the beds or enough towels for all of us! We were a family of 6 adults & 2 children. The house had 2 double beds & 2 single beds with duvets on. There were pull out beds but no duvets. I contacted the host by phone & twice by text about the lack of towels and duvets. He did not respond. We obviously couldn't sleep with no duvets so all had to squash onto the beds & had a sleepless night. The hallway also smelt of stale smoke & the windows had all been left open on a cold November day!

I hope the house be pest controlled and have the Bed Bugs eradicated for future guests🥲
The location was ok and the house is spacious.
Some of my friends got bed bug bites. One is worst as it affected her face, neck, ears, and extremities (photos attached).I messaged the owner to inform and atleast get the place pest controlled so it won’t affect future guests and users and was asking for a refund for my friend who went to the GP who confirmed the rashes are scabies bed bug mites and was prescribed with medications, she wasn’t even able to go to work and sleep due to pruritus, but the owner didn’t reply at all. I tried getting in contact with booking.com customer service but no reply as well. The other message chat avail was manned by AI. If a refund is not eligible, I could have appreciated if the owner just acknowledge and apologise and confirm to care and have the place pest controlled.

Bed bugsʻ
Lots of attempts to get in contact with the owner. Also the only friend that stayed in the single bed is now covered in bed bug bites confirmed by a clinician i work with. The body parts that were covered are fine but she has bites over her face, arms, legs and back of neck. When you book a special occasion you except the place to be clean. The sofa hadnt been hoovered in-between the cushions as there was stale food and crisps. The bins hadn't been emptied and we would not recommend this Air B & B. I do expect some compensation and a letter of apology for my friend

Alright for a very short stay not clean.
Close to where we needed to go but thats about it.
Not clean, bedrooms and linen very tired looking. Rooms were dirty in the corners and behind beds.

Health & Safety Issue – Bed Bugs and Insufficient Bedding at Leicester Property.
I stayed at this property in Leicester and developed extensive, itchy red rashes and bites all over my body after my first night. A pharmacist confirmed these are consistent with bed bug bites. I later saw clear signs of bed bugs in the bedding. In addition, there was not sufficient bedding or blankets provided, which made the stay particularly uncomfortable, especially as we had two children in our booking. This caused significant discomfort, distress, and medical expenses. The property urgently requires professional pest control and should not be rented until the issue is resolved.

Questionable comfort
The house was quite big. The beds were okay. The living room was also big and open. The location is close to the city cente and amenities. The washing machine and dishwasher were in good condition. Apart from this, it was an enjoyable experience.
First, there was the smell of a very old house. Afterward, the kitchen was very dirty everywhere. Due to the unsanitary appearance of the drawers and cupboards, we did not dare to store anything there. Don't forget to bring some cutlery with you, as you will not find any there. The garden was okay, with broken chairs and a fabulous house for spiders. While the location is great, the area was quite rough. We've even had the police knocking, asking about anti-social behaviour on that street.

**A Weekend Stay in Leicester – Some Pros, but Room for Improvement**
I stayed at this property in Leicester over the weekend with some friends. While the overall appearance was reasonably clean and the space served its purpose for a short stay, there were a few areas that could use some attention to really improve the guest experience. Our check-in experience could have been smoother – it was quite delayed, and communication with the hosts wasn’t as prompt as we’d hoped. That said, the gentleman who came to meet us at check-out was very friendly and polite, which we appreciated.
The furniture was quite dated and felt a bit tired – replacing or refreshing it could make a big difference in terms of comfort and atmosphere. The garden or yard area also looked like it had been a bit neglected, and the cigarette butt holder outside was unfortunately overflowing, which took away from the first impression. With a bit of care and some updates, this property has the potential to be much more welcoming. A few thoughtful improvements would definitely go a long way.
