Walked in... walked out, drove straight home

Comfy cosy my backside. Cluttered, claustrophobic and couldn't possibly be clean. Walked in, walked straight out and drove home. Spidey senses tingling when the phone number wasn't recognised when I couldn't find house. Finally found the property and didn't even want to go in as so dilapidated outside. No lock on bedroom door, but bolt on inside. Can't comment on comfort as I didn't want to stay.

I wanted to get out asap

Bed was comfortable

Wasn’t clean, wasn’t even given towels. Didn’t see the host, bathroom was shared and I should have been more careful before booking. Shared bathrooms are a no no. I would have left if I could, but it was midnight and I had to wake up early.

Ideal as very close to Chester Zoo where I saw Inka the black jaguar and poison dart frogs.

The host Christine and her ginger Mancoon cat Cheshire were both great! I could leave whenever I wanted and did so at 00:40am to drive home traffic free with only lorry drivers on the motorways. I enjoyed our nice friendly chat in the garden.

Breakfast would have been a nice touch but it wasn't the end of the World as you could get a big breakfast at the nearby Morrisons supermarket. Also a nice fish & chip shop (must pay in cash only) and a couple of good pubs locally situated.

Feeling at home and the landlady Abbey going out of her way to support my stay.

More written advice on how to flush the toilets and a visual guide to my bedroom so I’m aware of the dangers instead of being told too much verbally.

A quiet place with nearby facilities and transport links.

The property is in a quiet residential street, with good access to trains and buses into the city centre. The room certainly lived up to being comfy and cosy, as the bed was very comfortable, although it touched three walls of the room, there was still enough space for my needs. Breakfast is not provided, but there is a supermarket at the end of the road and it has a cafe that can provide a suitable breakfast. In the immediate area, there is a chip shop that provides a selection of foods in addition to the normal fish offering. Also close by is a pub that offers food. Had I wanted to travel into the city, as above there is transport available.

The toilet (in the bathroom at the other end of the landing) needed a particular technique to make it flush, and that was something that I never mastered during my stay.

It done a job. It was cheap, the bed was clean, for me if I had to stay there again under similar circumstances I would.

The room was small which I knew when I booked, but as I was only sleeping in the bed for 5/6 hours a day, it was adequate. It proximity to the railway station was good. It also had a cafe and a pub and a big supermarket as well as a fish and chip shop, all very close to the train which is about 200 metres from the house. The train service was very good, with a train into Liverpool every 1/2 hour.

Well it is what it is, and you pay for what you get. Yes it could have been better, at the same time you can see that when you book.

Book somewhere else.

Nothing. I did not stay there and found alternative accommodation. I require a refund that booking.com has said I have to sort that myself. Therefore, we will not be using Booking.com again either

Germs and nowhere near clean. Clutter in the room. Trainers tins of paint. Bathroom had hairs on the soap bars and it was all just filthy I have photos and videos of all.
