Lots of storage in room. Fridge and microwave also. Comfortable bed. Good location for train station, just down road.

Room cramped and in need of updating. Shared bathroom. Light switch outside of bedroom.

At least we were able to rest at the accommodation until such a time

There was too much clatter in the rooms and everywhere it was not a waaah place

Location to Bache Station and local bus service.

Cistern / pull chain didn’t work. Whole tap swivelled on bathroom sink. Front door not locked and our bedroom door didn’t lock from outside either. No means of filling up kettle. No milk or tea bags provided. General cleanliness quite poor. We slept fully clothed on top of bedding. Bedroom cluttered with too much furniture. Bedroom curtains hanging off rail and wouldn’t close or open fully. Would not stay again. We only stayed due to time-constraints.

Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot to like about the place.

So we arrived at le chic, we quickly met the owner, before we even entered the place we were having doubts, her drive was over grown with weeds and we looked up at a window and things were hanging out of it. Not a good start, really. Then we entered the place, it looks like it hasn't been cleaned for i don't know how long, the cups were dirty, the floor needed a good hoovering, there was no way to lock the door from the outside, and an inadequate lock on the inside of the door that if someone had kicked the door with just a little bit of force , the door would come flying open. The light switch was on the outside in the hallway for the room,, and there were coffee cup stains on the side, my husband dropped something and it went under the bed, he bent down to pick it up and immediately told me not to look underthere. In the fridge there was sausages, milk and coleslaw left in there and she took them, then said if we were going out then she would continue to clean. We were asked to be there for 3 as the room would need to be sorted before hand and she hadn't finished cleaning it,, or even started cleaning it Whilst we were processing what to make of it,, the lady showed us the bathroom. Well, the bath was full of water, the shower cubicle was filthy the floor hadn't been moped at all, and it had a funny smell in the bathroom, and the toilet left a lot to be desired, she left us alone and we immediately phoned our friend, they came and picked us up and very kindly let us stay over night because the bed when I sat on it felt broken, and there was no way we could get a shower there as there was no lock on the bathroom door and she even said herself that people may walk in on you. When we came back to collect our bag this morning, the woman had taken it upon herself to pack our bag. We had a few things to put in it, so we opened it and when I said she had packed it, well, she had just thrown everything in it.

Comfortable bed

A wet dirty towel on the back of my door , litter and crisps on the carpet , wet carpet after new kettle spilled over ( after Christine had demonstrated ) . My fault that I didn’t realise it was a shared bathroom , would not have booked it if I’d have known . Too much furniture in the room - couldn’t put my case anywhere - had to use the bed . Bath still half full when I went in . Sorry Christine but I won’t be staying again at your house .

The location was fantastic for working at the hospital. Chris the host was amazing.

Bit cluttered in places.

The sheets were clean and we received a personable welcome.

The advert was not clear that the one bathroom and toilet was shared with others. The room was cluttered with unnecessary furniture etc and had not been aired. Perfume sachets do not help. There were no readily available instructions for WiFi access or use of the TV. Even after requested verbal guidance, we found the TV set up difficult and gave up. Presentation of the property and interior was poor and not what we expected of accommodation promoted through Booking com From 11.45 pm till 3.30 am we were kept awake from loud straining floorboards above our room with somebody constantly walking around above us (this started again at 6 am). It was so bad that we considered leaving to spend the rest of the night in our car. We were so distressed and disappointed that we chose not to undertake our usual bathroom routines and left earlier than intended. We paid more for this stay than others (have been on the road for three weeks in the UK) that were of a much higher quality and comfort standard. We feel strongly that we should be refunded for what was a disastrous experience. We have never given a bad review before. We note that there were two rather positive reviews previously but vbwe question how this could be so.
