Large Private Villa, central Seminyak, Bali

Very spacious, amazing long pool, aircon was awesome.

Beds need new mattresses the wooden bed frame higher than the mattresses. No cement footpath to walk on to go to the back Rooms when it rains.

This was the best place to stay!! Felt like we were in a tropical paradise! All of the villa staff were exceptional! The ladies were beyond amazing and great cooks!! The service, the place and the food were just amazing! The villa is in close walking distance to everything you need. Can't wait to go back! We all miss it so much already!

Location of 'Villa Gajah' was perfect and the property was huge. A very short stroll to the Bintang Supermarket and the main street of restaurants/ cafes. The 40m pool was also great in the sense that I was able to do my exercise easily each day. The decor of the home was beautiful and I could see that someone had put some thought into making it lovely when it was originally set up. The staff were all very lovely and friendly when approached. Property was difficult to find based on address, I would recommend that the villa ensures this villa can be more easily found under the correct name on google maps/ Gojek etc. We had to use 'Jas Villas' which seemed to work instead of Villa Gajah.

The house is in desperate need of maintenance and upkeep. The toilets are unbolted and tip when sat on, there are plumbing issues, blinds are in need of replacement. It was a little unclear about the role of the staff and the benefits of the staff for guests. Staff worked variable hours so we were never sure when they would be there or what their responsibilities included. I think management should develop some supporting information in a manual that explains the services, including the costs of the support staff and offer this to guests before they arrive. It felt at times that staff were just co-existing with us waiting for us to need something. Communication could also have been a little better. Staff were wandering through the villa (including bathrooms) without knocking which created some awkward moments. We also had a situation where all the water was turned off without notice and at a very inconvenient time. The kitchen is not really set up for guests to use independently. We felt that we were imposing on a staff kitchen facility and had to rifle through drawers and cupboards to find basic items.
