Serenity House, The Retreat

This is our 2nd stay at Serenity House. It is in a perfect location. T here are local trains that go past the house but they are infrequent and did not disturb us. The rooms are all ensuite. The kitchen has a very large, catering fridge and a chest freezer. There is plenty of hot water.

The oven is a bit tricky to light and needs patience. Take matches or a lighter as the lighters left there have no gas in them. The dishwasher didn't work because there was no washing liquid. There was a delivery whilst we were there but we had got into washing up by hand by then. Perhaps a thing that did concern us was two of our party felt the duvet covers had not been changed! They both found hairs in their beds. They only told me this at the end of the stay. I did feel a bit concerned myself because I had seen dirty sheets in a small room waiting to go to laundry but no duvet covers amongst them. I dont mind if duvet covers are not changed, providing there is a sheet as well, this was not the case though.
