The street is full of crack heads, no exaggeration, people hanging out of windows, shouting banging
The house was horrendous. We didn’t expect much but it didn’t even provide the basics.
No clean towels or bedding - only 2 towels which had been used & left stinking. Large dirty sticky spillages under microwave. Dirty, used washing sponges. Broken chairs, backs hanging off. 1 folk, 2 knives, 2 plates, 1 bowl. The house was very very dirty, we didn’t expect much but clean bedding & towels are basics, it went beyond disgusting, windows carpets nothing had been cleaned in a long time. Only 1 tiny mirror in bathroom. Less than half roll of toilet paper between 4 adults. Dirty used smelly cloths left lying about on window sills. Garlic peelings & drug paraphernalia in draws. Bathroom window broke, no handle & unable to close. (In Dec, Freezing & unsafe)The bath panels hanging off & no shower head.The toilet was broke, & started to flood at 5am, we spent hours taken turns in flushing the toilet as this was the only way to stop it flooding the house (water stop tap was inaccessible) Finally got in contact with owner at 9.10am explained the situation to him & he didn’t really care, no urgency at all. The plumber said the owner first rang him at 9.30am then took 3 hours to get back to him to confirm he wanted him to attend the job. The plumber came out at 2pm - eventually found stop tap behind cupboard under kitchen sink which he had to rip the back off to get to (was boarded up). He also had a carry on getting the money from house owner for the call out fee before he could continue the job and fix toilet. Took an hour to pay him and finish the job. Its 3:30pm by this point amd we’ve been up from 5am instead of resting ready for a long drive home, the home owner agreed to let us have a late checkout to get some rest however later started threatening with police, extra charges etc etc if we didn’t leave. I am still in disbelief now. We left at around 7pm. The following morning the owner rings me consistently from 7.45am until I answered at 8.30, demanding more money & saying we had the keys for house.

Great communication
Front door wouldn't shut so had to leave it and jar all night (very scary)especially with street people hanging around the area. owner didn't seam interested when imessaged with my concerns and just said slam it which we had tried to do several times to join available.
No key for back door so fire risk.
No curtains in one of the bedrooms so was awake at crack of dawn.
No towels or toilet rolls.
Bedding very very creased
Would happily rent here again if the issues were corrected.

Poor location letting it down
Beds were clean and comfortable.
The location of this house is not great by any means. Broken pushchairs/bikes littering street outside. The main front door looks like it has been kicked in several times. Made it extremely difficult to unlock and lock the door - so much so we wedged a dining room chair up under the handle overnight. The location is certainly not the type of place to go to sleep with doors unlocked - frequent comings and goings all night.
The house is very sparse, minimally furnished but had everything we needed. Definitely in need for refurbishment at some point.
