Grace was an excellent host. Everything was as advertised. Perfect for what was needed. Would definitely recommend.

Own room and own bathroom

It was everything I needed for an overnight stay. I was shown to my room and the facilities then advised about local restaurants and takeaways. After that I was left in peace.

A TV would have been perfect but not a deal breaker

The house had an amazing smell, and everything was clean.

This is a house with several rooms for guests. There was no hospitality; it's not really a homestay but more of a mini guest house. I was cold at night, requested an additional blanket, but was told that there were none, even though there was an orange blanket on the sofa in the living room. Is it more important that the sofa will have a blanket than the guest? There was only one big towel for the body, I asked for another towel for the hair and face, and I was told that there was only an option of an additional tiny hand towel. The house is far away from Manchester city center. There is a direct line from the house to the center, but its frequency isn't high, so it took me 3 buses to reach the destinations I wanted to visit. When it's cold and dark, it's a real bummer. There were many lists of rules (by message, near the bed, at the bathroom door), even the house key wasn't given, but needed to stay at the lockbox. To me, it didn't feel like a friendly homestay, but I was mostly uncomfortable about accidentally crossing some rule. The room had 2 big beds that took most of the space, so the actual space I had to move around in the room was tiny. It's enough that the umbrella is wet and needs to stay open to dry on the floor, and it would make moving around impossible. There isn't enough space to hang clothes since the table is blocking the closet door. There is no USB charging station- the UK electricity is different from the EU one, and I needed to charge several devices, but was unable because I had only 1 electricity converter, so I had to give up charging some of them, which was a problem for the next day. All the other places I stayed in the UK had USB outlets for this reason. There was no bedside lamp.
