Stay by the Sea Salthill - Entire Apartment

Lage: Das Stadtzentrum ist in 15 Minuten per Bus schnell und unkompliziert erreichbar. Oder, noch besser, zu Fuß in 30 Minuten über die „Sea Promenade“ von Galway, an der die Wohnung direkt liegt. Pubs, Cafés, Restaurants, ein Kino und ein Tesco Express befinden sich direkt in der Nähe. Wohnung: 3. Stockwerk ohne Aufzug. Wir waren 2 Personnen. Die Wohnung ist aber gut renoviert und funktional eingerichtet. Fast alles, was man braucht, ist vorhanden.. Check-in: Erfordert durch die Gestaltung des Gebäudes ein bisschen Konzentration, ist aber schon okay. Kommunikation: aufmerksam, gut und schnell.

Die Duschkabine ist in die Jahre gekommen Das Gebäude ist nicht unbedingt sehr ansprechend und braucht dringend ein Refresh.

Nice to stay away from the crowds in Galway but within easy reach with about a 20min easy walk along the coast or a quick bus ride to the latin quarter. Was very quiet most of the time. Beds were very comfortable. There is a Centra just around the corner so you can get basic groceries etc the post office in the Centra sells leap cards for the bus into town.

My only issues were that it would be nice to have extra hooks or rails to change towels. A clothes horse/drying rack would be great as there is a washing machine. A shelf in the shower for toiletries like fash wash shampoo etc would be nice. I did message the host and they said they will follow up on adding these items. One of the bedrooms is quite small but not really an issue just something to be aware of. Not an issue for us but be aware the unit is on the 3rd floor with no lift. The staircase is nice and wide so not an issue if you are physically able to carry your luggage up.

The apartment was very clean and it had all the esential things to make the stay to be perfect. The decoration is lovely and it seems to be recently renovated. When we first arrived, the house was freezing but the heating works perfectly, so it heated in a few minutes.

The house was in an apartment complex and it was a little tricky to find, but the check in info is very well-explained so that wasn’t a problem at all.

Unit was spacious with 2 bedrooms, living room, dine-in kitchen and bathroom. Very clean with lots of appliances (stove, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, micro, toaster). Has balcony for sitting out. Living room is comfortable. Door separating kitchen & living room from sleeping areas is handy for early risers. Unit is quiet. Fairly accessible by transit and taxi to downtown Galway. Also, only a 30 minute walk to downtown along the water, which is a nice way to finish a day. Salthill is a little touristy area in its own right, with a great view of Galway Bay.

The place was very minimalist with few traveller-focused amenities. Kitchen very sparsely equipped - not even a washing up cloth or paper towels. Beds are small doubles. Closets used for owner's storage and we had to re-arrange things to accommodate luggage. Bathroom was austere - no shelves for toiletries (we put a kitchen chair in to help), Only one towel bar - nowhere for wet towels. Hand towel worn, with holes. Light above sink didn't work. Shower is tiny and water lukewarm. Bathroom fan was on its last days. Instructions for television and vodafone app appeared to be incorrect. Unit was on the very top floor and that was hard for someone with painful knees.
