Splash Beach Resort by Panhandle Getaways

The property was directly on the beach.

I don’t want to say I didn’t like the property but it could be better if it had more cooking tools available. I took my family for a week stay so we cooked breakfast and made lunch in the room and went out for dinner. There were no skillets to cook in. No muffin or bread pans. I did buy one and leave in the kitchen for the next guest. I needed a strainer to wash my fruit and vegetables in and to let water drain off. More kitchen cooking tools would have been great.

We love staying here. It’s always wonderful. Love the location. Love the pools. Love it all. The parking is great. The candy store is great. My daughter loves it here.

One thing I have never had happen was someone knocked very loudly on our door several times in the morning. We were not up yet. It’s vacation. My child was also asleep. They knocked twice then came right inside my room. It was a man who worked with Splash trying to change an air filter. Thank god my husband was there it scared the crap out of us bc he threw open the door and was coming on in. My husband told him we were still asleep and not dressed. Closed the door. He knocked again and we at that point just took the filter from him and told him we would do it ourselves. He proceeded to say he needed the old one back. Ok. So we changed it and he was gone. Left it outside the door the entire trip and he never came to get it. But it was emergent enough to just come inside my room??? That was scary. Sometimes it’s just me and my daughter. I would have been TERRIFIED if we would have been alone and he came inside my room. That def needs to be a different procedure. Change those at check out. Not when guest are present. Other than that we LOVE it here and will always come back. That’s the only time that’s ever happened to us. We will be back next year!!!

The elevators are very outdated and slow.
