We loved our stay at the falcon in York! The check in process was easy (lock box), the apartment was clean and spacious, and the kitchen was well equipped.
We loved the area - it was tucked behind a street full of restaurants and pubs, and not too far from the main town and train station.
We would definitely stay here again!
No baggage storage - this would have been helpful but I understand it is not possible when new guests are checking in.

The apartment was ideal for a weekend stay in York. Only 5 minutes to the centre on foot. It was immaculate with everything that would be needed. We didn't use the cooking facilities but they were great. The shower had a rain shower as well a std one which was by far the highlight of the property. Perfect size for two people.
The mattress was by far the most uncomfortable mattress we have ever slept on. We are both heading home quite sore as a result. Both myself and my fiancée spent the two nights tossing and turning trying to get comfortable.
The toilet also didn't flush particularly well which was not ideal.
One thing to bear in mind also is that there is no lift so if you struggle with stairs, you will need a ground floor apartment.

The property itself is well thought out, comfortable and fairly cosy, it’s in a fairly quiet location, the accessibility to town is probably one of the best things about it, oh and the sofa was comfy.
Truthfully, I don’t expect 5* treatment or anything like that but the place was dusty, over the mirror in the bathroom, all on the skirting boards etc, a fair portion of the property was dusty, the glasses in the cupboard were sticking to the surfaces with nothing in the apartment to wash clean them with, even a tiny bit of washing up liquid would have been good, maybe a hoover too, just to clean the place abit, some randomers bottle of durex play was poking out from under the bed all dusty & it may not be a requirement but even half a roll of toilet roll would have been useful upon entry of the apartment.. but there was none and to be fair the only view you’ve out the windows is a hotel and a roof dependant upon which one you look out of, if it was clean and that I’d probably stay again.
