Inside, you’ll find a fully stocked kitchen with open water views, making meal prep a joy. To get you started...
The bathrooms are stocked with courtesy soaps and shampoos designed for quick "off the shelf" use. Each bathroom has a roll of septic-friendly toilet tissue as a starter. You are encouraged to bring whatever you feel you might need beyond the courtesy items provided.
The kitchens are stocked with one roll of paper towels, one trash bag for the kitchen trashcan, trial-size dish soap, two dishwasher pods and 1 sponge. You are encouraged to bring whatever you feel you might need beyond the courtesy items provided.
Linens Provided: Linens are charged as a mandatory separate fee at checkout and will be available at the home, safety-sealed, at the foot of each bed.
Towels Provided: Each guest is provided a bath towel and a washcloth as part of the linen package. Hand towels are provided in each bathroom. NOTE: We do not provide beach towels or dock towels!

1. Pet-friendly: We know what it's like to have dogs that are part of the family, so we welcome well-behaved, fully housebroken dogs (limit 2). All dogs will need to be registered on the Lake Gaston Vacation Rentals site, and they must be supervised at all times or in a crate if home alone. Please respect our home by keeping the dogs off of the furniture, inside and outside. It is the owner's responsibility to clean up any pet waste. No cats please.
2. Septic System: The house, like 99% of all lake homes on Lake Gaston, uses a septic system. This system is a finely balanced biological system. Please help us keep it working flawlessly by flushing ONLY toilet paper. Renters are responsible for any damage caused by misuse.
3. Navigating the Lake: Bow-Riders and deep draft Wake Board boats need to check their Hummingbirds to ensure adequate depth in all coves. Pontoons should have no issues and everyone is welcome to tie off at the dock with rental boats (make sure to bring your bumpers!).
4. Culverts & Bridges: Be sure to lower your bimini top when going under bridges or through culverts. Appearances can be deceiving!
5. Security Camera Disclosure: We take your privacy very seriously. However, this home may be monitored by exterior security cameras. The cameras do not record sound. Please let us know if this is an issue with your party for any reason.
6. Life Jackets: Guests are asked to bring their own PFD's for maximum safety and proper fit. If you are at a home that provides water toys, you will need to ensure you bring your own properly fitted PFD.

The house is in a great location with expansive views of the lake. Upon arrival we were greeted by a few dead roaches throughout and a huge dead centipede at the foot of the basement stairs. The bathroom mats were piled on the laundry machine and appeared to be dirty. The kitchen is well appointed and the main floor is set up well for a group. The dock chair cushions are in bad shape and the deck needed a power wash. The fans on the dock were filthy. It did not seem that anyone had cleaned the dock since last season.The power was knocked out for several hours due to a bad storm on our second night and there were no flashlights or candles. The property is managed by Lake Gaston Vacation Rentals, who I reached out to three times, via text as instructed, during our stay. They never responded to any of my messages including when the power went out. It is a nice house overall but not well maintained for guests, and I wouldn’t use this rental management company again due to bad communication.
