We thoroughly relaxed and enjoyed our stay...delightful!

The location is exceptional and the cottage is well equipped, bright and cheerfully decorated and very comfortable for a family holiday.

Quiet detox from the modern world

Although the car parking was public (with a permit provided at the house) and up a steep hill, this affords a location and serenity that most places cannot match. You are literally on The Lynch, a footpath into the town straddled by two watercourses. If you like the sound of running water and birdsong, this is for you!

As stated, the car park was 5 minutes away. Normally, you could park for a short period for unloading/loading, but the road was closed for gas network upgrades. We treated it as an extra opportunity to get fit.

Peaceful and relaxing hideaway

I was a solo traveller, having a relaxing time out on my birthday week. This holiday home is ideally suited for a big family but it's just as nice for one person. I used one bedroom only and I only used the facilities downstairs. The flushing and water pressure has been fixed. The ginger cat came to see me on my birthday which was nice. I didn't know his routine and what he liked but he loved the conservatory and cleaned himself and then relaxed with me for a couple of hours. He likes his head being stroked. I didn't feed him but he left eventually and I went to get some chips from the chip shop nearby. On the rainy days I went to the museums on Coombe street round the back. The home is very near to the marine theatre which I went to on a sat night. It was a very peaceful night walking back. The high street is just at the end of Coombe street. The Jurrassic coast buses go to the square and the old co op stop. I went to Bridport and then I went to Axminster. Straight forward journeys. The town mill is very nearby and that was nice to visit too. There were lots of butterflies on the flowers. And even in the garden itself. The bed downstairs was comfy and the owner had left a big carton of milk in the fridge and ginger biscuits, which was thoughtful! Kitchen was fully equipped plus washing machine. I loved the pictures on the wall.

The location of the property is beautiful, the house is nicely renovated and clean. There's everything a family might need. It's a few minutes walk to the beach and there's a micro brewery, fish n chips and a museum near by.

The water pressure in the shower and toilets downstairs isn't good, it's almost impossible to flush the toilets or have a shower. There are 2 cats coming in the house so be ware if you got allergies. There is no access to a car near the house so you need to carry all your belongings through on a narrow walk path.
