Great location for airport but 15-20 min cab ride to Stone town. Clean room. Aircon worked well.

No coffee, tea or water provided in room. Some bathroom fixtures broken and shower didn’t drain properly

The facility is strategically located near the airport and in a secure location close to the main road. Well maintained and clean.

The internet was not strong enough. There was no sign post to locate the facility.

Conveniently a 1 km drive from the airport. As we had to catch a plane at 4:20 am, this property allowed us quick access. We were able to find all we needed along the same road (pharmacy and restaurant). Spacious room and one of the few properties that we stayed in that has a shower that is separated entirely from the toilet.

The host wanted to charge us $10 for a quick ride to the airport (1km) and refused to negotiate. Fortunately we found another private taxi for half the price ! The shared kitchen wasn't very clean. Difficult to find crockery to cook in. Only had a key to the room door and not the outside gate, which made getting in and out of the house inconvenient. We had to phone the caretaker every time we wanted to get back in (although he was incredibly attentive, warm and friendly). Many long hours of power outages led to no water and lack of aircon. This meant we had to open windows - as property is located on a main. Busy road - it was very loud. (Power outages do seem to be a usual occurrence in Zanzibar as we experienced it daily everywhere we went).
