The comfort House - Cosy 3 Bedroom house

The area was close by to family and it was a spacious house.

The property needs a deep clean and electrical need attention as the downstairs heaters were not working. The bed sheets had stains on them which was not nice to see. The curtains in the kitchen diner fell off when trying to close them, bedrooms had a thick smoke stench in it which was very difficult to sleep through. The bathroom also did not have a door handle.

House needed attention with décor and facilities especially the bathroom.

The pros of this accommodation were it was nicely situated on a peaceful street,near conveniences, Taxi- able distance to bars and restaurants and on bus route.

The cons list is much longer which is a shame as the house had loads of potential if a little care was taken over the property. Sadly, it just smacked of a money maker with no desire to make it a nice comfortable home from home as I would expect from such a listing. I certainly would not want to portray my home in this state. There were cobwebs scattered throughout the house and an overpowering smell of air freshener – which called into question the standard of cleaning straight away. On closer inspection things did not improve – the inside of the kitchen cupboards were in desperate need of a good clean out. The kitchen equipment was lacking there were not many glasses – all there were unmatched, no wine glasses to be seen and a sparse amount of cutlery. The kitchen sink plug was broken and did not actually fit in the plug hole making everything hard to wash after use. The oven was old and we were not able to see markings or determine temperature, the temperature knob just went round and round also as though purely ornamental at this stage. Moving on to the garden room and garden/yard area. The curtain rail between the garden room and kitchen fell down when we tried to close in on the night. The furniture in the garden room was stained and uninviting. There were shattered glass panels in this room also The yard had mess in the form of empty bottles, it was dangerous to walk in some areas as there were loose tiles on the steps and there were fence panels between this property and next door missig. We were glad at the stage that this was not a family trip as it was not safe for children. The blinds in the sitting room were broken and wouldn’t open – they were also filthy as they cant be cleaned due to the lack of movement. The bedrooms had missing door handles. The lock did not work on the bathroom. One bedroom door didn’t shut as all as it needed shaving and would not fit within the frame.

Pleasant house in decent area. Nice bathroom & a good garden for children to enjoy. Owner was very quick to respond to messages & swiftly acted upon on a late-night request after we needed some extra items. Helpfully suggested a local place to eat after we arrived later than planned. Would stay again if needing a place in the vicinity.

If we were staying for longer period, more forks would be useful.

Kitchen could be better equipped only 1 fork available. Fuse in microwave has blown 2 pains of window in conservatory smashed garden not welcoming and over grown. Shower curtains covered in mouldy spots Property could do with little tlc

It was awful the bathroom had mould, there’s wall paper ripped and peeling off the walls, the whole house smells of smoke, the cutlery is all rusted, the oven is caked in black gunk, and half the doors either don’t shut or they don’t have handles on them, I had to go out and buy a bunch of cleaning supplies just to make it semi liveable/safe

The comfort of the place
