I believe it’s a typical old terraced house style in Belgium. The front door opens directly from the street into the kitchen, it’s modern and well appointed, has everything needed for your stay, and all was in very good condition. There is also a large dining table and chairs on this level. A quarter turn stairway leads to the 1st floor, here you have a modern large bathroom with stand alone shower, large skylight above which opens. Next to this room is a closet containing a washing machine, proved a very useful addition. The level also has a pull out double bed (did not use) and a large screen smart TV & a storage/wardrobe unit.
The bedroom is reached via another quarter turn stairway, this would originally been the attic, it now houses 2 single beds made into a double, a Velux window that open. There is not a lot of headroom up here and can be a struggle moving round the bed, as your only sleeping in this space it’s not too bad. Wi-fi was good throughout the house, neighbours were pretty normal noise wise which given it was Christmas was appreciated.
Old town is a 15-20 minute walk away, grocery store 8-10.
The host was very helpful and provided all the information needed for our stay.
The neighbourhood was very quiet.
Really only the head height in the bedroom, but you get used to it quickly.
