A little piece of heaven! - The perfect place to relax in luxury and tranquillity.
The West Wing is an incredibly stylish and luxurious hidden gem. We'd discovered it last year, when we enjoyed a fabulous summer break here exploring the sweeping beaches, stunning local countryside and pretty seaside villages of North Devon. We promised ourselves a return visit, this time in early spring, and we weren't disappointed! The blazing wood burner and cosy atmosphere created the perfect setting to snuggle down with a film or a book after a bracing walk on Exmoor. The West Wing is a listed property full of history and character, which has been refurbished throughout with superb attention to detail and to an extremely high standard. The colourful furnishings and tasteful decoration are second to none. We were particularly taken by the Moroccan style wet room and loved the gorgeous, beaded chandelier hanging in the grand stairwell. The location is perfect, tranquil and tucked away with stunning views across the fields, and within easy reach of the coast, breath-taking beaches, and the local town for provisions. Kate and Ali were so friendly and welcoming and provided a wonderful hamper on our arrival, filled with delicious local produce from Devon and Cornwall, including biscuits, chocolates and even some local ciders. We would highly recommend a relaxing stay at the West Wing and definitely plan to keep coming back!
