Newly renovated 4 bedroom apartment near downtown.

Beautiful, CLEAN home with good amenities. (Kitchen essentials, washer/dryer, basic cleaning supplies just in case, etc). I liked that they had no crazy rules of doing cleaning that should be on cleaning services and not guests. The parking situation was great— more than sufficient (private) parking available.

This is mostly a preference and not an issue with the property— I would have loved if they had blackout curtains. With young kids who go to bed before the sun sets in summer it’s so helpful. Unrelated to the property itself I had a communication issue with the host. They listing mentions the private parking but does not include photos. In the check in instructions there was mention of parking in a lot behind the house then walking around to the front of the house to enter. This made it seem like the referenced lot was the one that belongs to the Whole Foods grocery store. The host sent me pictures (included here) as confirmation that there is a DRIVEWAY that is accessible to guests on the property. I highly suggest the host update this listing with the pictures for clarity!

The Montclair apartment was perfect for our stay. Close to NYC, convenient to the NJ transit stations, right behind Whole Foods, few minutes drive from Montclair shops and restaurants, spacious, clean, and absolutely charming. It has everything you need to feel at home, away from home.
