Devoke Water

the overall location was perfect for the stay. I had previously been to the lake district in august and this location was hands down better, with easy access to places like Windermere and Ambleside, I couldn't suggest and recommend it more.

There wasn't honestly much I didn't like, the only recommendation if you read this would be that if you're a new driver, some of the parking spots for the cabins are tight and sharp to turn into but once parked, the cars safe and you can see it from your cabin.

Everything! The decor, the location (magical), everything!

There was nothing we didn't like

Great location with direct access to some walking/hiking trails, clean and comfortable cabin with TV, WiFi, and rather decent heating, smooth check-in experience.

There was an extended (10-hour) power-shutdown during our stay, which did not exactly make things easier, but this is not the host's fault. It would have been useful to know about this ahead of time, though.

We had a lovely stay at this small holiday let. Communication with the host was excellent throughout, which made everything easy from the start. The place itself is compact but thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a short break. Its location is a real highlight — tucked away in quiet woodland, just steps from the swimming pool and sauna, with easy access to beautiful walking routes. It’s also only a ten‑minute stroll to a pub, bakery and restaurant, and just a short drive into Ambleside.

The only downside was the limited storage space, which made organising our things a little tricky.
