The setting and area and woodburner
Tv for bedrooms would be nice
Only one bin outside

Very quaint cottage which came out right on the bus route into Ambleside. Equally you could take a beautiful walk up over the hills to get into Ambleside too.
Only recommendation is having logs in the cottage for use of the fire.

lovely cottage, great situation, well equipped
was unable to open some of the bedroom windows, consequently a bit claustrophobic at night

There wasn't much on the plate, so we made our own. In other words, the arrangement was self-catering so this question is n/a. Very comfortable and spacious rooms. The location was ideal, and made all the better for having The Talbot pub/restaurant next door, as well as Chester's.
No facility for playing CDs, and the TV and DVD player a bit difficult to negotiate. We had to call someone in (George) who was very helpful. There was no salt and pepper, though Covid restrictions perhaps limit such provisions. there didn't appear to be any additional toilet rolls in the event of running out (which, in fact, we didn't).

The property itself was a good size, beds were comfy and facilities were perfect.
Location on the corner of 2 roads made it noisy in the evenings and it was difficult to walk to and from the local village. Also, there were exits for the dogs that were not closed off so had to keep and eye on them all the time when outside. Small issues that would have improved the stay but overall a very nice place for all the family.
