Exceptional stay

Everything was communicated perfectly very easy check in. I liked that it was a gated area very secure.

The apartment was very close to town centre It was clean

We took a few frozen items for breakfast and found there wasn't a freezer to store this in. There wasn't a oven.

Perfect apartment in every way but uncomfortable mattress.

Extremely clean, tastefully decorated, there were refreshments available including milk in the fridge! Marvelous, plenty of towels and toilet paper and toiletries, pillows were very soft! the host was awesome too and very responsive. Absolutely perfect barring two things.

The mattress was very hard for us, we had to sleep on the duvet to make it soft enough to sleep and we slept with a medium blanket each. The internet started off bad but ended up very good after the first day. I would happily stay again if a mattress topper was added or something to make the bed more comfortable.

Great accommodation for exploring the local area

Everything. Comfortable and clean. Location is great for local amenities and nearby countryside walks. Communication from the host was great. Would recommend and would visit again.

Some noise from nearby pub at night. It didn't bother us at all so we have not mark it down on this point but thought it might be something for other visitors to bear in mind...if you are a light sleeper.

Clean and well appointed flat.

The care package provided was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable, the flat was clean and well located.

The diffusers were overpowering and made the flat smell quite unpleasant. Not the fault of the apartment but worth noting that unfortunately the pub over the road made it very hard to sleep even with all windows closed.

An excellent stay in a very well resourced, modern and clean property.

The location is excellent for cafes, pubs, restaurants, shops and walks. Great train connection to Manchester and close to other attractions such as Holmfirth. The property had thought of everything including a folder of additional info on the area.

The snacks were a lovely touch and there was longlife milk in the cupboard but fresh milk in the fridge would have been even better. Also a freezer compartment for ice and ice blocks. However these are very minor and we managed very well without them!

Perfect location

Comfortable, spacious, can eat outside in courtyard, very quiet at night, tea,coffee and snacks provided which was nice. Great shower comfy big bed, bigger than a double, tv in bedroom and lounge. Glossop has a lot of good places to eat and a lot of pubs which were all nice. Perfect location for hiking even straight from the apartment. 30 mins to Manchester on the train which is very easy. Parking outside for 1 hour but also from 4pm and all night until 10am, or park anywhere up the road 2 mins walk. Would highly recommend this place in the peak district.

A perfect find

We spent 7 nights in Chunel appartment while over visiting family and absolutely loved it. The place was spotlessly clean and everything appeared very new. The bed was very comfortable and the shower room, kitchen and living area were all lovely. Just a stone's throw from the high street but very peaceful as it was in a private lane which doubled a terrace with it's outdoor table and chairs. The owner had added nice personal touches with a welcome pack of milk, tea,coffee, biscuits and some fresh eggs from the local farm shop and they also left a clean dog bed with treats, bowls, blankets and a towel for our dog. We loved Glossop with it's abundance of independent shops, cafes and restaurants and can highly recommend Pico Lounge for it's varied menu and spaciousness. An ideal place to dine with the family and grand children as it caters for all tastes and ages plus it is dog friendly. Manor park is about a 10 minute walk away and is absolutely breath taking in it's beauty with formal gardens, a sensory garden, children's play park and a large duck pond plus a river. Just perfect for walking the dog and appreciating nature. The locals were so friendly and happy to take time to chat and exchange a bit of banter!

No off street parking on site. We were made aware of the parking situation and were able to use the on-street parking from 6pm to 9am otherwise it is limited to 60 minutes with no return within 2 hours. This was fine with us as we were out all day and there are several car parks nearby as another option.

Perfect flat and location

Excellent location,easy for shopping and near transport links. Very safe and secure as main door locks and outer door to main street locks.

Too much scent ruined my stay

It has a fully equipped kitchen. Also the location near the railway station is good.

The place had a huge number of scent diffusers that triggered an allergic reaction and ruined my stay. I tried to lock them in a cupboard but I kept finding more and more. Because of this, I had difficulty breathing and sleeping in this apartment.

Tidy, well-kept with some nice personal touches: local information, a stock of pastries and pint of milk in the fridge, and a good selection paperback books to read during the stay.
