Evelina's appartement

The apartment was spacious and, most importantly, very clean. Everything worked perfectly, including the washing machine, iron, and stove. The location was fantastic — the city center was literally just a five-minute walk away. I would also like to mention the incredibly warm and welcoming hosts, who made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We really enjoyed our stay here. If we come back again, we will definitely book this apartment again!

The apartment was reasonably priced, and the photos accurately represent its appearance. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities provided by the host, such as toothbrushes, slippers, and kitchen utensils. We understand that this is budget-friendly accommodation, and we certainly did not expect luxury furnishings or a newly renovated apartment.

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing, primarily due to serious concerns about cleanliness, hygiene, and basic comfort. We strongly believe that affordability should never come at the expense of these essential standards. Bathroom: The bathroom had a persistent unpleasant smell throughout the day, despite the overwhelmingly strong smell of chlorine when we first entered the apartment, which suggested that cleaning products had been used. The shower curtain was visibly dirty and smelled unpleasant, making us uncomfortable using the shower, as we tried our best to avoid touching it. The showerheads also had noticeable limescale buildup. Although the towels appeared to have been washed, they still had an unpleasant smell. Bedroom: This was probably the most disappointing part of our stay. The bedsheets appeared to have been washed but also had an unpleasant smell. The pillows, which were our biggest concern, were visibly old, yellowed, stained and smelled extremely bad. Their condition was so poor that we decided not to use them at all and had to sleep with our own clothes and jackets as substitutes for pillows. This is certainly not something guests should have to do when paying for accommodation. The quilts also appeared old and heavily used, which made us uncomfortable about their cleanliness. Kitchen and general cleanliness: Some of the cutlery and coffee cups were dirty. The kitchen sponge provided appeared to have been used before, which we found unhygienic. The curtains throughout the apartment also smelled unpleasant, and the freezer compartment had a significant buildup of ice. What makes this experience particularly disappointing is that most of these issues could be resolved through better cleaning practices, regular maintenance and a few inexpensive replacements. After our stay, we privately contacted the host and provided detailed, constructive feedback about these issues.
