This apartment is an absolutely superb place to stay in Monterosso al Mare. We visited as a family of five in July and could not have been happier with our accommodation. The apartment is in an unbelievable location, tucked away in one of the charming little streets of the old town and only about 100 metres from the beach. There are numerous restaurants, gelato shops and small shops just a few metres away, yet the apartment still feels peaceful and private. It is located up one flight of stairs. The apartment has three bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom. Two bedrooms have large double beds, while the third has a sofa bed. All of the beds were extremely comfortable, and every bedroom had its own television, which our children particularly enjoyed. The bathrooms were spotlessly clean and well supplied with toiletries, fresh towels and everything we needed. There is also a separate small kitchen and dining room. The highlight, however, is the beautiful large courtyard adjoining the dining area. It has a large table, plenty of chairs, lots of sunshine and a lovely outlook. It was a glorious place to sit, eat and relax after spending time at the beach or exploring Monterosso. The apartment also has a washing machine and an outdoor drying area, which were very useful for our family. Beach towels were thoughtfully provided as well. Our host, Nicoletta, was exceptionally welcoming. As promised, she met us at the train station, guided us to the apartment and took the time to show us around. This was a beautiful and exceptionally comfortable place to stay, with a wonderful outdoor area and an unbeatable location. We loved our time here and cannot wait to return.

The owner/manager was so nice and helpful with any questions we had. There were bathrooms in each bedroom with air conditioning. The patio was so pleasant and charming with fresh lemons from the lemon trees each day. The location was very convenient in town.

Nicoletta is the BEST! From the moment she greeted us at the train station we felt like we were in an Italian Riviera movie. Monterosso is beautiful and La Poesia is just like you’d imagine an apartment in Cinque Terre. It has everything you need. It’s ideally situated in the Old Town. The apartment has easy access to restaurants, the beach, the Cinque Terre Trail, the train, neighborhood bakeries and shops., etc. We cannot speak highly enough about Nicoletta and her property. We will definitely be back to La Poesia. Our only regret is that we didn’t book it longer for this leg of our Italy adventure.

It was perfect for us in every way.
