Pablos Place

The accommodation was clean, fresh and inviting. Lighting and decor was pleasant. Lots of storage space. The duvet on the main bed was lovely. The location was ideal for us, with easy access by car into York.

The main bed mattress was extremely soft and lumpy with dreadful roll-together. We had to opt to sleep in separate beds just to stand any chance of getting any sleep. The 2nd bedroom mattress was also very soft but also I could feel the bed base through it on my hip (and I'm definitely not a larger or heavier person!). So we had very little decent sleep during our stay sadly. Also the oven wasn't great - simple basic food like oven chips took 45 mins on full heat just to cook through, and even then they were still pale and uncrisp.

Lovely place, very spacious, neat and tidy. Spent a weekend away here and had everything you would need and more. Situated in a nice quiet area in the outskirts of the city, you have the best of both worlds. Quick communication from the owner and very accommodating.

Nothing.

It was clean, comfortable and quiet

It was very peaceful, and close to amenities

The location was incredibly peaceful. The general layout and size of the lodge was very nice. Showers were good. Lots of storage built in. Kitchen was really well fitted out.

The main bed was the most uncomfortable thing over ever slept on. It for some reason had two mattresses stacked on top of each other and felt like you were sleeping on a ball of cotton wool. Also the property had little phone signal in the area, which obviously isn’t their fault, but the WiFi was atrocious. The TV in the living space has no aerial so uses the WiFi for stuff to watch, but the WiFi is so poor that it just buffers the whole time. Ended up having to join a neighbours WiFi to watch the England game as the host didn’t respond to our message asking if there was a problem with it. Finally our three year old also found two dog chews under the sofa, so poor cleaning was carried out before our stay.
