A great apartment in the centre of everything.

A spacious apartment with an amazing view over the harbour… probably the best location in Hvar.

The decor and beds are a little tired and would benefit from a makeover. There isn’t a lounge area/sofa so the only place to sit as a family is at the kitchen table which is small and a little uncomfortable.

Unsafe, Dirty, and Completely Misrepresented We had an extremely disappointing experience at this property, managed by Sun Spalato. From the moment we arrived, the apartment was nothing like the clean, modern space shown in the listing. The unit was dusty, unhygienic, and lacked even the most basic amenities — no coffee, one flat pillow per guest, and sheets that didn’t fit the beds. Worse still, the front door lock was faulty and could not be locked safely. Even more alarmingly, it occasionally failed to open from the inside, creating a serious fire hazard. When we reported this immediately to the property manager, we were told to “just leave the door unlocked” and that no fix or alternative accommodation could be provided. Unacceptable. The apartment also featured: • A broken bed in the third bedroom, propped up with a block of wood • Dirty mop water left in a bucket in the master bedroom wardrobe alongside other dirty cleaning supplies • A foul smell throughout the common stairwell • A lockbox that did not fit the key provided, making check-out unnecessarily stressful Despite multiple complaints, no resolution or refund was provided. We are now escalating the matter through Booking.com and our credit card provider. Avoid this property and think twice before booking with Sun Spalato — they are clearly using offshore staff with no ability to respond to safety or maintenance issues in a timely manner.
