Absolutely wonderful, it is more like staying at a friends country house. The staff obviously love their jobs. The restaurant was closed as there was a private party but the owner made us a meal which was delicious. Breakfast was great, home made jams, yogurts, cheese and cold meat platters, free range eggs, cake,freshly squeezed orange juice and artisanal juices.
The gardens are very interesting, and the owner gave us a little tour, a very interesting building.
The bedrooms have interesting furniture and art works and we could have swum in the bath!
We booked to visit again while we were checking out.

We had a very pleasant stay. This hotel is surrounded by a huge garden of trees, hedges, and shrubs, quite unique in an urban hotel. While not in the center of Montpellier, it is located near the river with its clean and well tended pedestrian boulevard; a very nice 15 minute walk into town.
Very old-world shabby-chic! I recommend this unusual hotel.
