The so-called Kendl House was built around 1650 and is one of the oldest houses in Waldsassen. It was built by Jakob Geisl, one of the Geisl brothers, who, following the monastery’s first dissolution in 1614, established the first residential settlement in Waldsassen on behalf of the electoral administration. After changing hands numerous times, it served as a residence, a tannery, and a sacristan’s house, among other uses, and was last inhabited from 1964 to 2011. Following a comprehensive renovation from 2018 to 2022, we offer you every comfort you need for a relaxing vacation, despite the house’s long history. The vacation apartment (130 square meters) is spread over two floors and does not have an elevator. There are two bedrooms, each with a double bed, as well as a sleeper sofa in the living room. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, oven, and coffee maker. One bathroom has a shower and the other has a bathtub. A balcony and terrace are available. You will pay the booking amount on site by card or cash. Check-in is from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Check-out is from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Other check-in and check-out times are possible upon request.Keys are handed over at the front desk of the St. Joseph Guest House. Pets are not allowed. Parking is available.
