The bed in front room was VERY comfortable. Kitchenette was nice- silverware and plates were helpful to have, as well as a sink and counter space. Fireplace was enjoyable. Location is perfect for walking into the village. Parking right in front of the cabin was convenient. The hosts were very nice. Very quiet property.
We had stayed here almost 10 years ago and had a great stay, but it's clear this property has gone downhill since then. Hot tub jets apparently hadn't been cleaned in a while because when we turned them on, disgusting things came out of them and we had to get out of the tub. Toiletries were not included- there was a dispenser in the shower for shampoo/conditioner/body wash, and 2 of the items were empty. Dirty cotton swab left behind on bathroom counter wedged in between grout lines. Several places on walls of bathroom of things being removed and then poorly patched up, including the wall with the shower head that looked like it had a lot of water damage. Flooring had been redone, but poorly. Door leading from front room into kitchen wouldn't close because the floor was up too high. One bathroom door would close and lock but you could push it open. I also chose a cabin with 2 queen beds but one of them was a double bed and it was too small for my 2 adult kids. Not worth the price we paid this time.

We had the BEST time here! We brought our 2 kids (12 and 15) and our dog for two nights. The property is old school cabin style 3 blocks from the downtown shops and restaurants and 1 mile from skiing and tubing. The cabin was super clean and had everything we needed from coffee maker to pots and pans and cozy beds and super comfortable couches. Great TVs and internet. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful! A MUST!!!!

As soon as my children and I arrived, the owners were right there to help us check in and guide us to the house. It was so perfect and so Big Bear. The house was in the woods, jacuzzi in the room, wood burning stove and 5-minute walk to The Village. I have been to Big Bear many times and this was the best stay I have had to date. Highly recommended!

Pine Knot Guest Ranch offers good value for money. Our room has all that we needed- a comfy bed, a small but functional kitchen and dining area, a super clean restroom, a heater and hot water. The tub is a plus for a quick soak before bed and the TV provides entertainment when we are lazy and cold to go out. The place is just a few minutes walk to The Village where your restaurants and gift shops are. The couple who look after the place are very welcoming and warm. The llamas are fun to feed too.

The jacuzzi tub is a nice bonus for soaking but the jets aren’t very strong. Better to use it without them, and quieter. The cabin was old but well maintained. The skylights are nice, but it’s too bright early in the mornings. The llamas on property are cute and fun to feed. The cabins are very close to the village. The beds are nice and soft, but not for those who need a firmer mattress.
As mentioned, the skylights and beds didn’t make the stay as comfortable as it could have been. The firewood they sell you doesn’t burn well. Much better off with a duraflame since they want you to use the gas only to light it.

How close it was to everything, jacuzzi and fireplace worked out well, host was very accommodating to our needs and scenery as well as the llamas that you can feed

Great location
The smell in the room was so overbearingly strong. It was honestly unbearable, I could barely sleep. They need to deep clean the rugs or replace the flooring. It smelled like fragrance trying to cover up another smell. I was so tired from my drive and I wasn’t sure who to explain the situation to so I just sucked it up and slept there, but it was not comfortable.
I’m sure the other canines are are okay, but number 19 was not. On top they charged $30 pet fee per dog so I paid $60 extra
On top of the room rate. Close to $300 for the night, I didn’t feel the room was worth it at all for that price. I strongly recommend they deep clean the unit and get new rugs and furnishings because the smell was awful. Even when the hotel manager took me into the unit ( the windows were all open) they must have been trying to air out the smell, but I left with a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe it’s just that one cabin I was in, but I don’t think it was acceptable to give your guests a room smelling like that. I loved the location and tried to make the best of it in the morning but I’m disappointed overall

Everything from the room to the service was perfect! Our hosts were the sweetest ever and extremely accommodating. There were llamas to see as well so it was also a fun experience for my son to feed them. They brought out extra blankets and pillows, provided a crib, and even had snacks and books for kids. Everything worked and we didn't have any trouble during our stay at all.
I wish there would have been a pot to use for cooking.

The privacy of your own cozy house and lot size.
That I didn’t have a broom and dust pan inside to sweep spills.

Big bear is a beautiful place. Check in staff could not speak english. Room was large but had a jacuzzi in the middle of it which was strange. Close enough to walk to shops and restaurants. One bed was comfy enough but the other one , not so much.

They property is older, but heater worked, fire place worked, and everything was maintained. It was really quiet and quaint. It felt like we stepped into a holiday movie.
It probably needed a fresh coat of paint and maybe a little more work around the area for the kids to play. Otherwise it was great.

A very homely story at. Once the fire is on it feels warm, cozy and very relaxing.
The second bed is reasonably comfortable but very noisy.

the villa we stayed in was large and accommodating and the kitchen was nice to use. The staff was also accommodating.
The shower only had hot water for a few minutes. Also when I turned the shower on stuff came out of the drain?

I loved so much about the property! We came for our honeymoon and loved the quietness of the ranch, the llama farm, the friendly staff, the crazy proximity to the village and other attractions, the cleanliness of the home, the patio, jacuzzi, and wood burning stove, and most of all I enjoyed that it was fully stocked with cooking tools. There is so much to love about this property! You can see all of the stars from outside, theres central heating and a/c too, as well as a kitchenette.
Not a thing, wish I could’ve stayed longer & I can’t wait to return!

We love everything about this place. We've stayed in 3 different of the cabins including a 2 story home. They're all a little different but all awesome. The staff is incredible. Very friendly, always smiling, always ready to help you. The facility is awesome and the cabin are great. But its the staff that makes you wanna keep coming back. A couple of them dont speak English very well but use a chinese to english translator on their phone. Which to me is awesome. Just be patient with the app. The location is great. Just a couple blocks up from the village. You can easily walk there. We highly recommend this place and cant wait to come back and stay even longer.
I can't really think of anything i didnt like. Ok ok, if i have to come up with one thing and its not that i didnt like it. Because i think the unit is awesome. In 2 of the cabins they have old school radio units installed in the walls wired to speaker in the top corners of the walls. There am/fm dial radio and a cassette player. So they i only thing i didnt like was that theres no aux jack or bluetooth option to play your music through the stereo unit

The location felt very safe and convenient to walk into the Village; The grounds were nicely kept and fun for kids; The jacuzzi tub in the room was great; AC worked very well and water pressure in the shower was strong. Loved feeding the llamas
Some light bulbs need to be changed and minor things in the room could be updated.

It was quiet, newly renovated and had s the amenities it said it had.
The freezer area in the “mini bar fridge” had so much ice in it you couldn’t put anything in it.

It’s a lovely little property right on Pine Avenue one to two blocks from big Bear Village restaurants, and shops. Will definitely go back. Enjoyed feeding the llamas.
Each unit it was its own little cabin.
