Perfect Stay

We loved absolutely everything, the location, the welcome basket - even the sweet treats on our pillows! The host couldn't have been anymore perfect. The cottage was immaculate, all facilities you need and the attention to detail was flawless. The convenient store is just a short 5 minute drive away and opens till late even on a Sunday.

Great place to stay near Glencoe - cosy and comfortable

Great place to stay near Glencoe, and not far from Fort William. Well-kept cottage, comfortable and cosy. 5 min walk from the Ballachulish co-op, so it's very easy to stockup on food and drink. I've stayed here 3 times now and will be back next time I'm in the area!

Not a complaint - but just so people know when they are planning - there's no washing machine for use by guests. But this is a great place to stay!

SUPERB COTTAGE

Everything: location, views, design, facilities, impeccably clean, everything is of a high standard, nice smelling soap and creams, very clean towels and linen, fresh flowers, and a very warm welcome by Lynne. Milk, water, coffees and teas, together with some snacks also provided.

Nothing. (Suggestion for minor improvements: addition of a shelf beneath the mirror in the bathroom, cold water tap is a bit hard to open and close.)

Woken by the traffic noise in the morning but I am a light sleeper! My husband didn’t have a problem with it. The cottage is situated just back from the main road.

Gerne wieder, wenn es in die Highlands geht

Das Haus ist praktisch und ausreichend für zwei Personen eingerichtet. Die Lage ist sicher gewöhnungsbedürftig, da das Haus auf einem großen Platz liegt und hinter dem Haus Autos eines Händlers stehen. Wer also eine schöne Terrasse oder Garten wünscht, ist hier falsch. Uns hat es dennoch sehr gefallen und wir würden es sofort wieder buchen. Im Haus ist alles was man braucht. Ein bequemes Bett, ein kleines aber gutes Sofa (mit Fußstützen), eine moderne und gut funktionierende Küche und ein gutes Badezimmer. Wir konnten sogar schon deutlich früher ins Haus, ein Begrüßungskorb mit Snacks und Getränken stand bereit und die Aussicht ist wirklich sehr schön. Es gibt eine sehr große Parkfläche vor dem Haus und die Lage ist super, Supermarkt, Restaurant, Wanderwege ist alles fussläufig erreichbar.

Der große, private Parkplatz wird häufig genutzt, um dort zu drehen.

Moderne Cottage in super Lage

Die Cottage war sehr modern eingerichtet in allen Bereichen: moderne Küche mit den nötigsten Küchenutensilien, neuwertige Couch und Wohnzimmerbereich, tolles Bett und eine Badewanne mit Duschoption und Glasfront. Optisch war alles wirklich wunderbar und genau so, wie wir gerne reisen. Der Check-in als auch Check-out war unkompliziert mit Schlüsselkasten. Die Lage war zudem unschlagbar, nur wenige Autominuten von Glencoe entfernt und mit tollen Optionen für Wanderungen. Ein Supermarkt war auch gleich in die Nähe, den konnte man sogar mit 10 Minuten Fußweg erreichen. Diese Cottage war definitiv eine der schönsten Unterkünfte, in denen wir in Schottland bei unserer Rundreise gewohnt haben. Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder kommen!

Es sei gesagt, wie bei vielen Cottages, dass auch diese nicht gut isoliert ist. Die Heizung nachts Ende März auszuschalten, auch nur für ein drei, vier Stunden, ging gar nicht. Das Haus kühlt sehr schnell aus leider. Unbedingt die Heizungsfunktion von Auto auf All Day stellen, sodass die Heizung immer läuft. Die Heizkörper selbst kann man immer noch runterdrehen bzw. ausschalten, wenn man nicht alle benötigt. Aber das ist sicher eine subjektive Angelegenheit und soll der ausgezeichneten Bewertung und zukünftigen Buchung nicht im Weg stehen.

+unkomplizierter, selbständiger Check-in mittels Schlüsselbox +gut Ausgestattete Unterkunft (vielfältige Küchenutensilien zum kochen) +eine Schale voller Snacks, Getränke und gekühle Milch waren kostenlos vorhanden +Parkplatz direkt vor der Unterkunft +ruhige Umgebung

-die Unterkunft war sehr kalt bei der Ankunft (Heizung war kalt), diese kann selbständig eingestellt werden, hat sich in der Nacht jedoch wieder ausgeschaltet und dazu geführt, dass es sehr kalt in der Unterkunft war
