    Hotel is very old with lots of charm. Room was comfortable and clean. Very quiet location. Pup served good food and drinks. Recommend for a quiet stay.

    Nice welcome by staff and taken straight to room. Reception is at the side of the main public bar though so could feel a bit intimidating for some. Room was small but great for the price. Bathroom also small and the shower was quite cramped. I wouldn't suggest a larger person attempt it. The bed was comfortable and warm but with the walls being paper thin you could hear all goings on in rooms on both sides, including snoring. I cannot comment on the food as the restaurant closed at 8pm and a cooked breakfast isn't on offer. A continental is available at the reasonable price of £7.99. Check out - strange one as the pub isn't open, hence no reception desk. After considering leaving key in random placed baskets, I chose to find the cleaner to hand them over personally. Overall, a lovely pub in a lovely area but be aware there is nothing around if you need food after 8 or a pint after 10. Nice room, very clean, Bottled water, tea and coffee aplenty but if you find it hard to sleep in strange places, take ear buds
