Lovely people who were really helpful and friendly. Only 10 minutes walk to Nijo station and subway so easy to get around and see the many sights of Kyoto.
Traditional style apartment on the second floor with sliding doors and a mix of raised beds and mattresses on mats on the floor. Comfortable beds and good air conditioning. Functional kitchen with good size table, and low traditional table.
Steep steps up to apartment may not work for anyone with mobility issues or young children.
We loved it but a bit crowded for 6 people.

"The apartment was very nice. It was very clean and spacious enough for 7 people (5 adults and 2 kids). The neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful and the apartment is authentic Japanese.
