Excellent location, large sized room, clean private bathroom. Great communication with the owners who responded to messages in a timely manner and let us check in early. The deluxe room we had is at the back of the building, so nice and quiet. We didn't use the shared facilities (kitchen, shared bathroom) so I can't comment on those. Overall great value for central Edinburgh, highly recommend.
The curtains were fairly thin so had to wear an eye mask to sleep (midsummer). The bathroom door was a bit stiff - quite loud to use during the night. The shower was mostly great, but one time I was using it and the pressure suddenly dropped right down to a dribble and stayed that way for the rest of my shower. The bed is fairly small and our feet ended up hanging off the edge - we are not particularly tall (I am 165cm).
