Bukchon Hanok - 'Yul Jae'

屋位於較高+斜坡的住戶區, 雖然門口可停車, 但由於社區路窄而且本區居民會停車在路邊, 的士很多時都上不到門口(夜晚可以), Check in - out 需要推行李上/下斜坡 才上到的士 (吃力) Shower 沒有分區沒有浴簾, 洗澡後, 整個洗手間全濕有點危險不方便

The host was very accomodating, easy to contact and very polite. I was able to make contact to get early access which allowed my sick mother to get some rest. I was able to make direct contact to get help with finding the property and unlocking door. It was a very smooth process. The property is very cute and extremely spacious. I enjoyed my stay.

The only minor issue was the weird noise that came through in the room next to the kitchen. Perhaps, it was coming from the Ac. It was a slight squeak but it didn’t bother me too much.

The most perfect stay in Seoul! Steps from excellent cafes, traditional craft studios, and some of the city's best sites is such a plus! Getting to stay in Bukchon Hanok Village is a very special experience, and one we will treasure forever. The hills of the neighbourhood add to the charm, and the fact that the streets are closed to tourists not staying in the area from the evening until 10am the next morning makes it feel exclusive and like you're immersed in a neighbourhood almost untouched by time--not to mention how peaceful it is. The hanok itself is absolutely gorgeous, and has every amenity you could need for a comfortable stay, while also being spotless! We will absolutely stay again on our next trip to Seoul, and we're so grateful to have gotten to experience this quiet slice of heaven this winter while the days were cold and sunny, and the house was warm and cosy.

Not a dislike, just if you're a Westerner like us, don't forget to bring towels to use after your shower as they are not provided. This seems to be common practice in various parts of Asia, but we were unaware so we found a shop that sold towels the next day and bought a few. Also, taxis can't go up the Bukchon road that the stay is on so you'll need to push your suitcases 5 mins up a steep hill. Wasn't a big deal for us, but just a warning. Don't let it put you off this incredible stay!
