DDM Stay

DDM Stay is in a great location, very close to the train stations, which made it convenient to get around. The room was clean, decent, and affordable, making it a good value for the price. One thing to note is that the accommodation is located along a narrow alley, so it may not feel as comfortable for solo travelers, especially at night. The bathroom sink had a small leak, but it wasn't a major issue for us. Also, early check-in is not available, and there is no receptionist on-site, so everything is handled through self-check-in. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would recommend it to travelers looking for a budget-friendly place in a convenient location.

Good was the location and the possibility to free laundry Bad was the room facilities and cleanliness. From broken floor to extreme loud and broken air-conditioning to stains and hairy bed sheets. We have the feeling that the whole bed wasn't changed after the previous guests. The bathroom sink was dropping all drainage on the floor instead of being piped properly. Toilet seat nearly fell apart. I would not complain if this place was around 10 usd a night but given its elevated price this is definitely the worst price value we ever got.

We had to check in at 4pm even though it says 3pm when we booked. When we finally booked in we had such dirty sheets and no duvet cover. When I messaged the host they were ignoring my messages so we had to sleep on a dirty bed without the cover. The owner still won’t answer our messages. Don’t come it you value good communication and a healthy place to stay especially a bed that you’ll be sleeping on.

It is affordable, and situated in a convenient district. But the location is in a dark and quiet alley, and the main door is never locked, meaning potentially anyone can get straight to your room door. The room door is a combination lock with no additional bolt. My double room did not come with the desk and chair as pictured, so we were probably given the wrong room type. The room floor is sunken in the middle, so there is no level surface anywhere inside my room. Everything slants inward away from the walls, including the bed, meaning we were sleeping on a V-shaped surface that is also slanted sideways. Since there is no reception or staff, there is no one to talk to on site. There is a small communal kitchen near the main door. But the roof terrace as pictured, as well as the whole 2nd floor, is marked "staff only", so no access there, which is likely a safety issue as the stairs were super steep, and the railing is visibly loose. Credit to the remote team that try to make the best of these hardware limirations. We received the door combination ahead of our stay, and any toiletries, towels, and blankets we asked for were provided same day or next day. So, it is affordable. Just know what you're getting yourself into.
