The Casa da Vigia is a cottage situated in a waterfront location with a magnificent view of the Atlantic Ocean. This house was recently built on the house of an old whaling and official whaling. At the beginning of whaling, in the parish of Calheta de Nesquim, the site was used for whale watching to have a very broad view of the sea. Upstairs has a 2 bedroom apartment for up to 4 people. It has 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a kitchen and common room. It has a laundry room, a large terrace with wonderful views over the village and the immensity of the sea and furniture to relax and dine outdoors.
The house has an outdoor kitchen with barbecue and wood oven.
The water heating is done with solar energy through two panels and thermo-accumulator.

Fatima is a wonderful host. She very warm to welcome us, hospitable and kind to show us the house and amenities and very helpful to facilitate any issues. Also, she’s nice to recommend best restaurants to eat and islands to visit.
Overall we had a great time staying in Pico Island especially to her place. Her house is so beautiful, fully equipped and very clean. Her house is very highly recommendable.

This is our second stay at Casa da Vigia. The decision to come back was an easy one based on a very positive first experience. The home is an amazing place with a beautiful view of the ocean. The home is equipped with all amenities required to make it feel like home away from home. Sra Fatima is very pleasant and extremely accommodating. Would highly recommend this location for your next visit to Pico. Cant wait to go back again!!
