Loft d Exception au Pied des Champs-Élysées

I was travelling with someone else, and one thing I appreciated was that we never felt like we were constantly in each other's way. Everyone could do their own thing and the stay still felt relaxed. That made a bigger difference than I expected over a few days. Overall, it was a comfortable place to use as a base while in Paris.

Location was perfect for early morning tour meeting place, minutes away. The bed and pillow was surprisingly comfortable. It felt like a safe residential area, lots of grocery and convenience stores.

From the beginning- I didn’t realize until it was too late that they required either $125 no refund deposit or $1000 refundable deposit. The front door stuck SO bad, major effort required. Getting the key was around the block, on a bike rack, again, too much effort. Then submit a photo that you returned it after checking out. Hassle. Spiral staircase to carry food up and down as kitchen on middle floor and table and chairs downstairs. Do not book with children! Low ledge upstairs and stairs scary. No hand soap in bathrooms. Wash and dry your dishes, gather trash. Just a lot, for the cost, vacation shouldn’t be so much work.

Communication was very good. Host responded very quickly to questions and concerns. Guest portal when it worked was helpful. Location was great. Right around the corner from grocery and restaurants

Front door was almost impossible to open or close when it rained as the inside door sill was too high. Even using our full weight it was difficult. About 1/3 of all lightbulbs were burned out. Some rooms only had one working bulb. Upstairs bathroom had cabinet door broken and was just sitting on the floor. Downstairs bathroom had mold issues on two walls and exhaust fan, also a section of the wall had been removed and was just propped up against the wall. Lack of cooking utensils and dishes. There were no wine glasses at all and no large chefs knives to cut with. Also no blender nor mixer and all the dinner plates had large chunks missing from them. No place to sit and eat next to the kitchen. The dining table was a floor down a narrow circular staircase. There was room for a small dining table and chairs next to the kitchen but there weren’t any.
