This larger rental cabin was built in 2017. There are two bedrooms on main level (one queen and other full sized beds) with a sleeping loft with full sized bed. Fully furnished kitchen. One bath. Linens and towels for four guests for one week are supplied.

The Watauga River is one of two tail waters in the immediate area – the South Holston river is just 6.2 miles from Rocky Shoals Cabins. In addition, the Doe river is 1.4 miles away and Stoney Creek 2.3 miles away are TWRA Stocked streams.

The TWRA does a superior job stocking and maintaining the fishery and the Watuaga river boasts more than 4000 rainbows and brown trout per mile. Trophy fish are common – especially in the area at and below the Rocky Shoals Cabins.

Amazing cabin a stone’s throw from the river, modernized and well appointed, with 5 separate beds. Perfect for a fishing or family trip. Loved it!

My husband and I stayed there with my parents Friday through Monday to go to all of the NASCAR events in Bristol. It was a short drive to the track, yet away from all the craziness. It was so nice to sit on the porch swing and listen to the river and watch the wildlife! We would definitely recommend to others and stay here again!!
