If you prefer hiking, there are multiple access points to the Appalachian Trail within a short drive. Within 15 minutes, you can be on the peaceful waters of Watauga Lake, boating, swimming, or enjoying the fishing as it’s been recently deemed a “Bill Dance Signature Lake.” In 25 minutes you can be in Roan Mountain or enjoy Bristol within half an hour. Skiing and other hiking opportunities can also be found in Banner Elk and Boone, NC, in less than an hour. If you choose to stay close by, hop on your bike and travel along the Tweetsie Trail that takes you to Johnson City or walk Elizabethton’s historic downtown and enjoy shops and local restaurants.

We enjoyed our visit at this clean little place. Beds were comfortable and house was clean. We had a issue with the stove top not working, but host was generous and went and bought a electric skillet and griddle for us to use during our stay. We would definetly stay here again if ever in the area.

This place was perfect for our family of 7. It was very clean. Close to town but still quiet and peaceful. Super easy check in and check out! We would definitely stay here again!
