Nazarí Lucena Cathedral Apartment + Parking Gratis

The property was as depicted in the photographs. The fashionable interior design was in keeping with the Moorish/North African influences evident throughout Granada. As two couples travelling, the two-bathroom layout was appreciated, as was the air conditioning. The apartment is centrally located, making it easy to walk to the city's main attractions (although we did catch a taxi to Alhambra due to the heat, and then walked back downhill).

While the free parking was appreciated, it was not very easy to locate (especially as Google Maps did not want us to go down the road in which the carpark is located). Unfortunately, we had been upgraded by our car rental company to a largish Skoda Kodiaq, which was not at all suited to the very tight confines of the carpark. Unless you are very proficient at parking in very tight spots, I would not recommend parking in the gratis parking if you have a large car.

This is a good sized apartment in a convenient location, we walked everywhere. Located in a pedestrian street so there was no car traffic. The apartment was nicely furnished, clean and comfortable with good amenities and the air conditioning was efficient during the heatwave.

I didn’t like having to send passport details via a third party website link - understand the legal requirements for the owner but did not feel comfortable about this at all.. Granada’s a late night city and the apartment did get some late night street noise, it was also a little dark with limited natural light..

Location and overall presentation

The proprietor refused to provide the access code details until the first day of the booking. I had been apprehensive about that as a week earlier I had been asked to provide personal details ( passport, age etc) and it was explained that if I did not provide those details the proprietor would not provide me with the access codes. This caused me some concern. Generally the proprietors were tardy at replying to emails or not at all. The cooking stove was difficult to operate and I had to ring the host to get video instructions . As a result I couldn’t even make a cup of coffee for a couple of days. There should have been clear written instructions provided at the premises. There were 2 or 3 brass vases which were dangerous. One of these fell onto my colleagues foot and caused a skin laceration. They were relatively unstable on their bases and easily knocked over. There was also another grievance which I cannot recall now
