Villa Gatta

Es war super, genau wie auf den Fotos. Es gibt hier zwei Wohnungen, wir hatten die mit zwei Schlafzimmern (im 1. OG mit Treppe) und kleiner Küchenzeile (EG). Die Gastgeber wohnen mit auf dem Grundstück, was die Kommunikation super einfach gemacht hat und wir bekamen sehr schöne Tipps für Gaststätten in der Umgebung, die wirklich lecker waren! Wenn wir wieder nach Rom kommen, kommen wir wieder :)

Die Couch ist ein bisschen durchgesessen, aber wir waren ja die die Stadt da und nicht um in der Wohnung zu sitzen, daher kein richtiger Abzug ;)

We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment. Everything was exceptionally clean. The rooms were spacious with air conditioning, a well-equipped kitchen, and a nice bathroom! There was a private outdoor area where you could sit down, watch the cats, and drink your coffee. A capsule coffee machine with free capsules was a great bonus. The kitchen included a refrigerator to store groceries, ample counter space for food preparation, and a dining table in a separate, air-conditioned room where you could comfortably spend time with your family. The neighborhood is quiet and authentic, featuring plenty of great restaurants, gelaterias, bakeries, pizzerias, grocery stores, and local markets. Quality food is available everywhere nearby! Most of the locals are Italian, allowing you to experience the authentic daily life of Roman citizens. It feels very safe to walk around in the evening, with great local movida every night!!! Pigneto is an awesome area, and we definitely plan to return to Villa Gatta. We traveled to the city center every day. We took buses at first, but I would definitely recommend not wasting time on them and just using the Metro (Lines A and C)—it will take you much less time and they're always on time! On our first day, we took a bus to the city center and it was over 40 minutes late. We ended up chatting with some tourists from France who were also waiting, and they mentioned that the buses are often late, especially in the middle of the day. The host, Angela, was extremely friendly. She provided us with a list of local hidden gems and even recommended some great shops when we asked her if she knew where to purchase Italian bags and cosmetics! Thank you so much, Villa Gatta!

The room is spacious, equipped with everything you need. Angela is also a friendly host.

The main minus is the location. It's very far from the city center, about an hour walk, 10 min to the metro. The second minus was the internet connection, quite weak for what we are used to.
