Not too bad, had a great stay

The apartment is wonderful overall, though it has a few minor flaws. I appreciated that the host was very responsive. Previous reviews mentioned issues with the bed and sleeper couch being broken, I can confirm that both have been replaced. I really value that the host listens to guest feedback and takes action to improve the stay. True to its name, the apartment was cozy and comfortable, making for a pleasant stay.

Please don’t get me wrong, the property itself is not bad at all. The comments below are simply suggestions that could help improve the experience for future guests. We had a long stay and made regular use of the kitchen and utensils. Unfortunately, there was no oven tray available, and a few of the cups and plates were chipped. We also found a dirty plate in the cupboard. There was no dishwashing liquid provided, and no extra cloth or sponge for cleaning, so future guests may want to bring their own. The extra bedding stored in the cupboard also did not appear to have been washed, it had a funny smell. Additionally, it may be helpful to schedule occasional fumigation, or a simple doom fogger, as we noticed a few small cockroaches in the lounge area during our stay. With a bit more attention to these details, the overall guest experience could be greatly improved.

The location.

At first glance, the property looks okay. During our stay we ran into multiple issues, some were passable. These were some unacceptable issues: The property is advertised with a sofa bed, but its broken, uncomfortable and dirty, pots were left dirty, curtains were stained/burnt, there was what looks like blood stains on bedding, bathroom racks were dirty, towels were unusable as they were stained and had an unpleasant odour. We ended up cleaning and using new bedding at our own cost, as we had no where else to go, during a festive period in Cape Town. Worst, these issues were raised with the owners via Whatsapp 3 days into our 7 day stay, as stipulated to do so in their welcome message. The owners only responded after we checked out and took zero accountability for their lack of support. Instead, we were blamed because we stayed our entire stay (we had no where else to go). The property has great potential but is misleading, lacks adequate house keeping, maintenance and customer support.

Nice location but broken bed.

The location, the space of apartment.

The bed in the room was sinking and not solid, it hurts the backbone. The Hall chair bed sofa was worse, it sink in big holes and damaging to bones as well, even young person is not able to sleep there eventhough it's classified as a bed. The checking out is too early 10am. Extention of time is a big problem.

It was a nice stay- the scene, environment etc, however I do think that amenities can be improved for future guests.

The location was central to everything, and the environment was very calming and relaxing.

We faced some issues with internet and water, but the internet was fixed shortly after.

Nice cosy apartment 2min walk to the beach. Great location and the host was very friendly and responsive.

The check in process was extremely stressful. The person who was supposed to hand over the keys never did and we were trying to communicate with the cleaning lady but she kept making us go from one place to another.
