Clean, private, no hassles.

The room definitely needs an air conditioner. To get a breeze through the room at night (hot) requires opening windows, but you then need to leave the blinds down to not have your room lit up. Then what happens is that the blinds knock so you battle to sleep.

Lucky me

It's been a while since my last stay at Flamingo Palms. They are always booked when I travel to Cape Town and I know why. Once you've stayed there you always want to stay there. The location is great! The room is even better than before. They went out of their way to add some new conveniences that has been suggested in the past. The bed is still comfy. Water hot. Coffee station and fridge. I know there is a TV but I never switch it on so for the TV lovers.... Everything works and I always enjoy a stroll through the area or just a walk to the nearby shops and restaurants for something to eat or to keep in the fridge for snack time.

Disappointing

Value for money was ok. I arrived a day earlier and needed an extra night. We arrived at 10 but were constantly asking for the extra R600 and we were told that we needed to leave before the next guest arrived. He was very helpful and friendly with our luggage and helped pack it in the car. We had my niece and never paid for her. Only 1 bed . Clean and in a safe area. But in all it was very nice.

Not what we were expecting

Hi. My husband and myself stayed there for 5 days. The description was incorrect according to photos displayed and advertised. It was not an apartment. The advertisement was very misleading .We are very disappointed. The host wasn’t transparent with us. As seen on photos there was a kitchen and we had packed food accordingly for our 5 days stay but on arrival we learned that there wasn’t any kitchen facilities available. According to the host “Booking.com had made a mistake and advertised both his separate rooms in one advertisement”. The host then began attempting to convince us that the room would suffice our stay and then offered few local cuisine (Macdonald’s). All in all the area was safe, quiet and relaxing.
