Sugar Marina Hotel -POP- Kata Beach

We spent the last day of our Thailand vacation at this wonderful, colorful, and beautifully designed hotel, and we were absolutely thrilled! Beautiful Rooms & Great Extras: Not only is the hotel grounds a real eye-catcher, but the rooms are also modern, clean, and really beautiful. We were especially pleased with the generous amenities right in our room: a fresh fruit platter and complimentary soft drinks (soda, water, Schweppes, Cola) were provided for us – a fantastic service! A Dream for Kids: My two children (9 and 8 years old) had the time of their lives here. The absolute highlight was the pool area with its cool slide, the many small, colorful pools, and a great selection of toys. The kids' club also features a really cool room. The organized entertainment is geared more toward slightly younger children, but that was not a problem at all for us. Dining & Design: The hotel stands out for its cheerful, modern design that flows through all areas – the breakfast area is especially beautifully designed. The breakfast itself was highly varied, abundant, and delicious. A great start to the day! Outstanding Service: The entire staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. A very special mention and heartfelt thank you goes to Max and Dew at the lobby! Both of them were incredibly attentive and made our check-out a particularly pleasant experience.

Room Small, but we stayed just one Night so no Problem. There Are bigger rooms available.

Pool was lovely. Breakfast, location and staff were great

The rooms were not cleaned throughly enough. Behind and under furniture was dusty

We had a lot of fun at this hotel. The pool, waterslides and kid zone were a big hit with our child. Our room was very comfortable with lots of space and the bathroom was large. We had a room with a bunk bed and slide and our daughter loved playing there. The location is good to access the Kata night market and lots of other places close by to eat. It is a walk to the beach, but they do offer a shuttle 3 times per day.

Lovely hotel, and the kids adored it. The pop theme and the bunk bed with the slide were a huge hit. Rooms are well designed for families.

The pool officially opens at 7am, but cleaning with power sprays and vacuums carries on until 9 or 10am, so you can’t really use it in the best part of the morning. The other issue is the pool access rooms: guests were smoking right at the poolside, flicking ash into the water and even spitting in it, and nobody from the staff ever checked.
